Governor Jorginho Mello travels to the United Arab Emirates in search of new investments for SC
The agenda of Governor Jorginho Mello and his delegation during the mission to the United Arab Emirates is in the preparatory stage. Between the 17th and 25th of February, the agendas, if confirmed, will be held in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, where businesspeople and potential investors will be introduced to the main attractions of Santa Catarina. The meetings will be attended by secretaries Juliano Froehner (Foreign Affairs), Cleverson Siewert (Treasury), Vânia Franco (National Affairs), Danieli P. Porporatti (Secretary of the Governor’s Office) and President Renato Lacerda ( SCPar ). The delegation will also be attended by the president of the Legislative Assembly, Mauro de Nadal, and state deputy Antídio Lunelli. The president of Fiesc , Mario Cezar de Aguiar, the president of Acafe, Luciane Ceretta, and the mayor of Balneário Camboriú, Fabrício de Oliveira, are also part of the group from Santa Catarina.

We are recognized for the diversity of our industry and our entrepreneurial profile, we have natural beauty and paradisiacal places, a great tourist and industrial potential that must be explored and even better known in the eyes of the world”, explains governor Jorginho Mello.
According to Secretary Juliano Froehner, the agendas requested by the Government of Santa Catarina aim to prospect foreign investments in the State, attracting more companies to Santa Catarina, business, partnerships and cooperation in the most diverse areas, such as tourism, infrastructure, ports and airports, sports events. In this way, strengthening ties and fostering commercial relationships.
To Secretary Cleverson Siewert, this trip is another opportunity to attract new investments to Santa Catarina. “Attracting investments is a fundamental component in Governor Jorginho Mello’s management. We have a lot to show international investors. We are the 2nd most competitive state in the country, with the 6th highest GDP in Brazil and great productive diversity. We offer easy access to 6 ports, 21 airports and an efficient road network, facilitating national and international distribution. The State also has a highly qualified workforce, the result of a quality educational system, making it a hub of excellence for companies looking for talent in different areas. They are excellent business cards to show the world”, says Secretary Cleverson Siewert .
