After Panama, SC Government seeks direct flights to the United Arab Emirates
The governor of Santa Catarina, Jorginho Mello, met with the Abu Dhabi Department of Tourism this Wednesday (21), in the United Arab Emirates, during Santa Catarina delegation’s trip to the Middle East.
At the meeting attended by their president of the Department of Tourism, Mohamed Al Mubarak, the governor highlighted the State’s new advances in the airport sector and the innovations that have been taking place in Santa Catarina.
The meeting led to the beginning of negotiations with representatives of the companies Emirates and Etihad with the State Government and the Secretariat of Ports, Airports and Railways. “They welcomed us very well and I am very confident that we will achieve many good things for Santa Catarina. The most important part is to be here and show what our state represents to the world. Foreigners like this and it makes a difference in ensuring investments”, stated the governor.
Also participating in the meeting were the secretaries of Foreign Affairs, Juliano Froehner, and of Finance, Cleverson Siewert, president of the Legislative Assembly, Mauro de Nadal, senator Jorge Seif, the president of Fecam, mayor of Balneário Camboriú, Fabricio Oliveira, and deputy Antidio Lunelli. Also part of the international mission group are the president of the Federation of Industries of the State of SC ( Fiesc ), Mario Cezar de Aguiar, from the Santa Catarina Association of Educational Foundations ( Acafe ), Luciane Ceretta and the director of the Acate Internationalization GT, Lisandro Vieira .
