State Government participates in the opening of Feistock
The secretaries of Foreign Affairs, Juliano Froehner, and of Industry, Commerce and Services, Silvio Dreveck, participated in Feistock. The furniture sector fair took place from June 15th to 18th, at the Centro de Eventos Promosul, in São Bento do Sul, and received more than 25,000 people, boosting the region’s economy.
According to Froehner, from the moment you take our raw material, our inputs, and transform them into a product, adding value, design, technology, functionalities, you are transforming the resource that will fit inside. “This means more money coming into our state, for producers, collaborators, employees, raw material suppliers. It means more tax collection. Society as a whole grows.”
For the secretary of Industry, Commerce and Services, Silvio Dreveck, Brazil is the largest producer and exporter of the furniture sector in the world and Santa Catarina contributes a lot to this branch of the economy. “Even during the pandemic, the sector has grown and continues to generate jobs and income. Santa Catarina has the tradition of a competitive furniture industry, in addition to the quality of our products. We have many opportunities to advance even further in this sector”, he points out.
According to the director of TBS Feiras e Eventos, Jonathan Roger Linzmeyer, the fair has become one of the largest business tourism events in Santa Catarina, turning the region into the largest furniture and decoration shopping destination in Brazil.
