State Government supports launch of FIN Brasil 2024
The Secretariat of Foreign Affairs (SAI) of the Government of the State of Santa Catarina attended as a supporter of the launch of the third edition of the International Business Fair (FIN), which will be held between April 3 and 4, 2024, in CentroSul, Florianopolis. The official launch event took place this Tuesday (8th), at Faial Prime, and brought together municipal, state and international authorities, federations, chambers of commerce, associations, as well as Brazilian and foreign businessmen. At the ceremony, the panel “Opportunities and Challenges of the Global Market” was held.
According to the SAI secretary, Juliano Froehner, FIN Brasil 2024 will represent an unmissable opportunity for companies to expand their business contacts, both nationally and internationally. “By the orientation of Governor Jorginho Mello, the Secretariat is always available to be a partner in events like this, which play a fundamental role in making the internationalization of Santa Catarina viable. In addition, it is a great opportunity for us, the Government, to publicize the potential and opportunities of the State, to attract investment and encourage commercial and economic relations between Santa Catarina and all participating countries.”
Among the innovations for next year is the new logo, which refers to the implementation of the ESG concept and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). With the symbol, FIN reaffirms its commitment to being more than a means of generating business, assuming the role of contributing assertively to the sustainable growth of the countries present at the event.
The colors of the logo represent six SDGs, which will be the pillars of the fair: Decent Work and Economic Growth; Industry Innovation and Infrastructure; Sustainable Cities and Communities; Reduction of Inequalities; Action against Global Climate Change; Partnerships and Means of Deployment.
“FIN Brasil is on the global calendar as one of the main multisector trade fairs. Participants of various nationalities from six continents meet here with the aim of doing business that goes beyond the limits of borders, cultures and languages. It is an audacious initiative, but Santa Catarina is a state that is dedicated and highly prepared for this movement”, said Jatyr Ranzolin, CEO of FIN 2024 and president of the Brazil Portugal Chamber.
According to Filipe Gallotti, Business Manager at Sebrae/SC, “entrepreneurs who participated in FIN gave us feedback on closing excellent deals. As our job is to support micro and small entrepreneurs, we are encouraging the business world even more by re-sealing this partnership with the fair”.
Panel “Global Market Opportunities and Challenges”
Conducted by experienced business and management specialists, the panel included the participation of Dilvo Casagranda, International General Manager Export of Cooperativa Central Aurora Alimentos; Franciele Dacas Franzmann, Export Manager at Intelbras; Jatyr Ranzolin, CEO of FIN 2024; Maitê Bustamante, President of the Foreign Trade Chamber of FIESC; Patrícia Lia Bentrano, Commercial and Marketing Manager at Porto Itapoá; Arnon Melo, president of the Canadian International Freight Forwarders Association (CIFFA); and Rui Miguel da Silva Barreto, Regional Secretary for the Economy of Madeira Island.
“We have countless reasons to encourage the partnership with Brazil, we basically speak the same language, we have cultural relations in common and we share the same ocean. Madeira Island is an excellent option for doing business, as we apply low tax rates and our economy is increasingly based on innovation. FIN will be an opportunity to bring together the best of Brazil with the best of Portugal”, said Rui Miguel da Silva Barreto.
According to Maitê Bustamante, Santa Catarina is the 6th GDP in the country. “We have a varied production of products that reach very demanding markets. We are also an importing state. Therefore, FIN is important for the internationalization of our products. It is an event that contributes to making the entrepreneurial mindset more receptive to new business models and that will bring us many opportunities ahead.”
